The House voted on March 16, 2021 to extend the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) by two months. The votes were 415 for and 3 against. If enacted in its current form the bill will extend the deadline to apply for the Paycheck Protection Program from March 31 until May 31, while also empowering the SBA to continue processing applications until June 30. The bill now heads to the Senate for a vote still to be scheduled.
