John (Rusty) Davis, CPA, CGMA, CITP, Principal
After earning a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland in 1979, I gained experience with regional CPA firms before founding D&A in 1995. With strong traditional growth for years, we launched a strategic pivot to become early adopters of cloud technologies in 2010. I was credentialed by the AICPA as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) in 2014 and a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) in 2019. I was honored to be a finalist for the 2018 Innovative Practitioner Award by CPA.com, and Accounting Today named D&A as one of the Best Firms in Technology in 2023. I thrive on guiding entrepreneurial small businesses to successful outcomes by collaborating with our awesome team members and clients.
When not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, being active in outdoor sports and adventures, and following the arts.
Beth Landfair, Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant at D&A I enjoy building long-term client relationships and contributing to our firm’s mission of delivering trusted accounting, tax, and advisory solutions. I am a proud 1989 grad of the University of MD. Prior to joining our Firm in 2017, I was the Controller for two large companies in the DMV region. I feel that my time in private industry has translated well in working with our small business clients, to be able to understand and help them with their everyday challenges.
Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, gardening, and hiking in nature. I also love attending retreats, caring for animals, and most of all, spending time with my husband and our daughter, who is now a college freshman. I find fulfillment in supporting our clients with the same dedication and care I give to my own family.
Lindsey Zimmerman, Client Coordinator
As the Client Coordinator for our firm, I enjoy building and supporting strong professional relationships with our clients and colleagues. As a 2013 grad of East Carolina University, I majored in Hospitality Management, with a minor in Business Administration. Before joining D&A in 2020, I previously led the Member Sales and Marketing Department for a large private Golf and Country Club, where I grew membership to a wait list stage. Bringing this energy to our clients and colleagues has led to my primary focus – delivering an exceptional client experience. I am proud to be a part of a professional team that is committed to excellence in the CPA Services industry.
When I am not in the office, I treasure time with my two young boys and exploring new adventures with my family. Beyond being a Mom, I also love staying active, listening to live music, and unwinding at our local vineyard.
Patti Davis, Executive Assistant
As a people person, I enjoy supporting the D&A Team with internal projects and tasks that boost productivity and communications. With a MSW from San Diego State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from the U of MD, I bring a role to our staff that allows them to elevate client services. I am passionate about practicing as a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach, which aligns with a lifelong commitment to nutrition, fitness, and outdoor adventure. I strongly believe that highly productive accountants require a healthy foundation to succeed.
When not working, I smile and laugh a lot with my grandchildren, take hikes in the woods, and gather with friends and family often for fellowship.
